Prof
Balraj Madhok was born at Askardu in the
former princely State of J & K. He started his academic and
political career in the J & K State and played a notable role
in
the defence and accession of the state to India in 1947. Later, he
acted as the right hand man of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji in the
formation of the Bhartiya Jan Sangh in 1951. He also scripted the first
manifesto of the Bhartiya Jan Sangh as its founder Secretary.
Prof
Madhok had made an in-depth study of the Muslim problem which was
published at Lahore in late 1946 under the title, ’Hindustan
on the
Cross Roads’. He continued his study after partition and
visited a
number of countries including Israel, Cyprus, Lebanon, Yugoslavia and
Philippines for a further on the spot study of this problem.
His
book, ‘Islam,
Muslim Problem and Civilisational Conflict’,
published by
Hindu World, J-394, Shanker Road, New Delhi – 10 060 is a
brief
compendium of basic information on the global problem which is leading
the world to a civilisational conflict.
This book has been authored
mainly for the benefit of the English knowing intelligentsia, opinion
makers and political leaders whose ignorance about the roots of this
problem cost India dear in the past and may lead to a bigger disaster
in the days to come.
There is a need to disseminate correct
information about Islam and Islamic civilization and its
incompatibility with the Western-Christian and Hindu-Buddhist
civilizations. With this aim in view the book , ‘Islam,
Muslim Problem
and Civilisational Conflict’ has now been made available on
the website
